About Us

An Exciting, Safe, Fun Place to Learn!

Chebeague Island is located just 10 minutes by ferry boat operated by Chebeague Transportation Company from the mainland departing regularly from Cousins Island! Our Island is a quick trip from Yarmouth, Cumberland, North Yarmouth, Freeport and Falmouth! CIS is “a little gem located just across the way” and is a public school that accepts students from outside districts.

At Chebeague Island School, we hold a special commitment to nurturing and respecting each student’s individual abilities, while also challenging students to accomplish things they never dreamed they were capable of doing.
